The National Institute of Child Health Research (NICHR), established under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), marks a significant step forward in improving child health in India. India faces both pressing challenges and unique opportunities in improving perinatal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health outcomes. NICHR aims to address these by promoting scientific excellence, generating policy-relevant evidence, and encouraging innovations that directly benefit children’s lives.
